Guy Benjamin, 86 Temple Road, spoke to the Board about renovating his kitchen and adding a small entry-way porch. The house, which is older, is 46 ½’ from the road, the entry-way porch would be inset and 50′ away from the road. The Board determined that because this is an existing structure, and the entry-way porch will not further encroach into the set-back requirement Mr. Benjamin does not need to go to the ZBA. The Board asked Mr. Benjamin about the recently erected greenhouse. Mr. Benjamin stated that the greenhouse is a temporary structure, as it is not permanently attached to the ground, and is at least 100′ from the road. Mr. Benjamin submitted an intent to construct, plans, and check #1003 in the amount of $75.00 for fees.
Tricia Traffie, 690 Rte 123, spoke to the Board about their plans to put up a temporary quonset hut. Ms. Traffie explained that they have had a survey done by Fieldstone Land Consultants and the placement of the quonset hut is not in the setback and is more than 100′ from the road. After discussion it was determined that that Ms. Traffie does not need a building permit, due to the fact that temporary structures are not explicitly addressed in the zoning.
Ken Callahan:
- Mentioned that there should be an index for the zoning ordinance, Mr. Backstrom looked at the zoning and found there is an index.
- Batteries for the security system have been replaced.
