Call to order by Fred Woodhouse at 5:30 pm.
Motion to approve the minutes for 5/5/2021 (Woodhouse/Backstrom). All in favor, motion carried.
Motion to approve payroll (Woodhouse/Backstrom). All in favor, motion carried.
Motion to approve the manifest (Woodhouse/Backstrom). All in favor, motion carried.
Signed the 2021 1st bill property tax warrant.
Sarah Tobias, representing the Website Committee, gave an update on website revisions and requested permission for the Committee to send out a survey asking residents for input on the website. This will be a simple survey, Ms. Tobias read the questions that the Committee had put together. After discussion of the proposed questions it was agreed that two questions would be removed. The Board approved the survey with the removal of the two questions. The Committee also plans on asking the Town Boards and Committees what their needs are in relation to the website. The Committee has looked at several other municipal websites and they are currently “playing” with a fake website that allows modifications and changes.
Anne Booth, representing the ConCom informed the Board that the ConCom will be starting to meet in person. Ms. Booth wanted to verify that two LUCT (land use tax) payments had been deposited into the Conservation Fund, and that San-Ken had paid the invoice for Fieldstone Consultants, the response was yes to her questions.
Sandy Eneguess:
- Roads are under control.
- Mill Road Bridge will be worked on in a couple of weeks. One estimate has been received, a second estimate was requested but there has been no response. The estimate received in within the estimate range from the Engineer.
Ken Callahan:
- Got in touch with the Society for the Protection of NH Forests (SPNHF) regarding the “Campers” on Swamp Road. SPNHF will post the property for “No Camping”.
Discussion of internet access and SB85, which is in the State Senate. This bill would provide matching funds for municipalities to upgrade internet access.
Carl Newton:
- Asked about appointment as Deputy Road Agent, Mr. Eneguess stated that Mr. Newton was appointed as Deputy when he, Mr. Eneguess was appointed Road Agent.
- Mr. Eneguess and Mr. Newton are trying to determine whether they should pave in 2021 or wait until 2022. They will keep the Board informed on their decision.
Chet Bowles:
- Represented the Town of Sharon as a participant in the Windham audit recount. The website DOJ.nh.gov shows how the count is proceeding. They are about 10% through the 30,000 ballots.
- Spoke about the Traffie situation and encouraged the BOS to speak with the Planning Board and Attorneys to try and define temporary structures.
