MOTOR VEHICLE REGISTRATION: Renewals yearly, month of your birth; three steps:

1. Obtain forms and pay Sharon fee at Sharon Town Clerk (below).

2. Pay State fee and obtain plate stickers at Peterborough Town Clerk (1 Grove Street, 924-8010).

3. Take forms and stickers to any state-certified station for vehicle inspection.

Obtain permit at Peterborough Town Clerk. Purchase required 17 or 33 gallon bags for non-recyclable waste at Peterborough stores; they are not available at the Recycling Center. Call for details.

SEPTIC WASTE DISPOSAL: Inform your septic pumper that the City of Keene Wastewater Treatment Plant accepts domestic septage from the Town of Sharon.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT PETERBOROUGH

Sharon has cooperative agreements with the Town of Peterborough for the Recycling Center, Library and Fire Department ONLY. Sharon residents should not utilize Peterborough’s parks or recreational facilities, as the Town of Sharon does not pay for this. Do not call or visit Peterborough offices for any reason not aforementioned, and especially do not interrupt our Town Clerk or Selectmen’s Assistant while they are at work in Peterborough. Direct questions to your Selectmen.

Brush-burning permits are required for safety and proper notification of regional fire lookouts. Residential refuse burning is prohibited by State law.
